Lisa and Chris 2015

Our first wedding of the year was with Lisa and Chris an amazing couple.

Lisa and Chris booked their wedding at the startlingly beautiful Piper’s Heath Golf Course in Milton.  We provided both reception entertainment as well as Ceremony Audio at the outdoor chapel.  I was taken aback by the sheer beauty of the outdoor chapel.  The outdoor space exists between two ponds and a stand of trees.  The swans floating nearby and the song of the birds in the trees made this place feel truly magical.

This venue is a perfect spot for ceremony audio with trees at either side that make concealing the speakers a breeze.  I work hard at finding ways to position the speakers so they won’t be in any wedding photos.  You want to remember the day, how beautiful it was, how great everything looked, not what speakers were being used.

This outdoor chapel allows for easy concealment of the speakers and cabling.

I set my table up on the right hand side behind the set of pine trees.  The spot allowed me to see who was coming down the aisle but allowed me to remain out of the view of the photographer allowing them to take in the full view without having to crop me out.

With the ceremony over we packed up this system and loaded it back into the car before heading to the hall.  Guests mingled on the patio till around 6 when everyone made their way inside.  Our Grand entrances went off without a hitch and the guests and the subjects of the introductions loved them.

A family member acted as MC during dinner introducing the speeches throughout the meal before turning things back over to me.

Laura and Chris had some of the best weather I’ve ever seen at a wedding, it was warm without being hot and guests spent nearly the entire evening enjoying the clean warm air on the patio.  After a winter like we had this year I can hardly blame them.

This did pose an issue however.  The hall was designed in such a way that the sound did not make its way to the patio.  Guests enjoyed their drinks and each other’s company but I was disappointed they could not also enjoy the music while they were outside.  This did not dampen the spirits of those inside or out on the patio however.

Even so going forward we are going to offer a secondary wireless system that can push sound to an adjoining room or covered patio to ensure everyone gets the enjoy the music whether they are giving it on the dancefloor or chilling on the patio.

As the evening moved along we received quite a number of requests and our dancefloor was packed right up until 1am when the reception wrapped up.

In Their Own Words

Lisa sent this email in yesterday.  A longer review is pending but she wanted to share this while she wrote more.  I gave her the links to our WeddingWire, Google and Yelp! profiles so she can send through a review, but in the meantime she said I could post this.

Hi Howard!
Everything was perfect! Thanks so much for making our day THAT much better!
I did not get the photo, but I would love to see it! Would you be able to re-send it?
I would be happy to post a positive review. Is there a specific site? Or just via e-mail?
Thanks
Lisa
